Rules
The “Reels”
For every spin, the three volunteers (who are standing in between dividers and can’t see each other) choose a fruit at random and reveal it together — just like a real slot machine!
We used reusable plastic fruit so it wouldn’t get soft or messy during the event — and it can be used again and again.
The Fundraising Game
Cost to Play
- $5 = 3 spins (3 chances to win).
- Players donate and step up to play.
- Volunteers don’t pay, they just help run the game.
- Towards the end of the night we were allowing players to be part of the reel if they wanted, and still had the chance to win.
How to Win
- The player wins if they get 3 of the same fruit in a single spin.
- They receive 50% of the current pot.
- The remaining 50% goes to the charity or fundraiser.
- They can only win once per $5 donation.
The Pot
- Each new pot starts at $10 (seed money provided by the host).
- If no one wins, the pot continues to grow.
When someone wins:
They get half the pot.
The pot resets to $10 and starts growing again.
